On the company meetings with Chiefs, benefits is the main topic to treat. We have the responsibility to analyze the benefit we have obtained based on the investment made, Return On Investment (ROI).

Benefit = Income - Costs

• Income: every that is generated selling services. As a CTO we can increment it making technically more easy the creation of new services, products or business models in the company.
• Costs: what cost us generating billing / income. We can reduce them optimizing company processes, using cheaper technologies, automating processes, AI, obtaining competitive advantages against competitors, etc

Establishing good methodologies, as CI / CD, we ease the possibility of having more benefits due to a competitive advantage in the market launching functionalities faster. As a CTO we must be able to talk business language in order to make clear the importance of our decisions.
